The Problem

Something worked yesterday. Today it does not.

Your website used to load fine. Now, especially during a sale or a busy period, it slows down or shows an error for some visitors.

You called your hosting provider. They suggested upgrading. You are not sure what you would actually be upgrading to, or whether it is the real fix or just a more expensive version of the same problem.

Signs you have actually outgrown shared hosting, not just had a bad day:
  • Your site slows down specifically when traffic increases, such as during a sale or a marketing push.
  • You run an online store processing real orders, not just displaying a catalogue.
  • You need to install specific software your hosting provider will not permit on a shared plan.
  • Your developer has asked for server access you cannot give them on shared hosting.
  • You have outgrown the storage or resource limits your shared plan allows.

If none of these describe you, you probably do not need a VPS yet, and we will tell you that rather than sell you one.

Cloud VPS hosting

The Core Idea

A VPS is your own space on a shared machine
Satej Infotech provides Cloud VPS hosting for Indian businesses whose websites need dedicated server resources, covering server sizing, setup, migration and ongoing management rather than self-service infrastructure alone.

On shared hosting, your website sits on a server with hundreds of others, and a resource spike on someone else's site can slow yours down. A VPS, short for Virtual Private Server, divides that physical machine into separate virtual servers, each with resources reserved for it alone. Your neighbours on the same physical hardware cannot slow you down and cannot see your files.

The part almost nobody tells you when selling VPS: it also comes with root access and real configuration responsibility. That is exactly right for a developer who wants control. It is a liability for a business owner who just wants their website to stay up. We manage it as the second kind of client, unless you specifically want the first.
Dedicated resources, managed for you

What Is Actually Included

What we set up and manage
  • Server sizing. We look at your actual traffic and recommend a tier that fits it, not the biggest plan available.
  • Setup and migration. Your website moved from shared hosting or another provider, with the transition planned to avoid downtime.
  • Security configuration. Firewall rules, regular security updates, and monitoring for unusual activity.
  • Daily backups, kept separately from the server itself, so a server-level problem does not take your backups down with it.
  • Uptime monitoring, with alerts if your site goes down, rather than you finding out from a customer.
  • Direct support, from a team that already knows your website, not a ticket queue that starts every conversation from zero.

How We Work

How the work runs
1
Check Whether You Actually Need It

Most enquiries about VPS are solved by fixing a slow shared hosting setup instead. We check first.

2
Size The Right Tier

Based on your actual traffic and what your site or application needs to run.

3
Setup Or Migration

Server configured, security set up, and your site or store moved across with a planned cutover.

4
Testing

Checked under load before we call it done, not just checked that it loads once.

5
Ongoing Management

Backups, monitoring, updates and support, handled without you needing to log in and manage the server yourself.

Work We Have Done
Food brand
A premium food brand

Selling through Zomato, Swiggy, its own website and Meta ads across several cities, with monthly sales growing from about Rs. 2 lakh to over Rs. 20 lakh. A business at that order volume needs hosting that does not slow down during a promotion.

Fertility clinic

The clinic moved from 3 procedures a month to more than 12 a month, alongside search visibility and review growth.

Questions People Ask Us

Cloud VPS, short for Virtual Private Server, divides a physical server into separate virtual servers, each with its own dedicated resources such as processing power, memory and storage. Unlike shared hosting, where your website competes for resources with hundreds of others on the same machine, a VPS reserves those resources for your website alone, so another site's traffic spike cannot slow yours down.

You likely need a VPS if your site slows down specifically during high-traffic periods, if you run an ecommerce store processing real transaction volume, if your developer needs server access shared hosting cannot provide, or if you have outgrown your current plan's storage or resource limits. If none of these apply, upgrading your shared hosting plan or fixing a specific performance issue is usually the better first step.

VPS pricing in the Indian market generally ranges from about Rs. 500 a month for an entry tier suited to a single growing website, up to Rs. 6,000 a month or more for a high-traffic or custom application tier. The right size depends on your actual traffic and what your site needs to run, which is why we recommend sizing before quoting a plan.

Unmanaged VPS gives you the server and root access, and you are responsible for security updates, configuration and troubleshooting yourself. Managed VPS means the provider handles those tasks on your behalf. We manage the server for most of our clients, because most business owners want a working website, not a system administration task.

In most cases, yes, with a planned migration. The new server is set up and tested first, your website is copied across, and the switch happens at a quiet time with DNS changes planned to minimise any gap. Some downtime risk exists with any server migration, which is why testing happens before the cutover rather than after.

Not if it is managed for you. A VPS does come with root access, which assumes technical knowledge if you plan to configure it yourself. If you would rather not deal with server administration, a managed VPS gives you the performance benefit without requiring you to learn server management.

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons a business moves from shared hosting to a VPS. An ecommerce store handling real transactions benefits from dedicated resources, particularly during sales or promotional periods when traffic spikes and shared hosting is most likely to slow down or show errors.

A VPS can usually be upgraded to a higher tier with more resources, without needing to migrate to an entirely new server. We monitor usage and will tell you before you hit a limit that affects your website, rather than waiting for a slowdown to raise it with you.
Tell us what your website is doing when it slows down
Send us a WhatsApp message with your website address and when the slowdown happens, such as during a sale or at a particular time of day. We will tell you honestly whether a VPS is the fix or whether something else is.
