The report came every month. Impressions. Clicks. Click through rate. A graph going up and to the right.
You read it and thought the same thing every time: none of this tells me whether anyone actually bought
something.
Maybe you asked. Maybe you were told the campaign was performing well, that reach had grown, that
awareness was building. And your staff, who would know, told you the phone was quiet.
Or you boosted a few posts yourself. Messages came in. Most were people asking for the price and then
vanishing, or people three states away who could never have bought from you.
You are not against advertising. You are against paying for numbers that do not turn into customers. That is a
reasonable position and this page is written for it.
Lead generation is the work of getting people who are likely to buy to share their contact details or start a
conversation, so the business has someone to follow up with.
A lead is not a sale. It is a person who has raised their hand. They filled in a form, sent a WhatsApp message,
called the number in the ad, or clicked to chat.
Performance marketing is how lead generation is done with paid advertising. The ad puts your offer in front of
the right person. The landing page or the WhatsApp chat gives them an easy way to respond. The CRM makes
sure the response is not lost.
Then comes the part nobody talks about. A lead that sits unanswered for two days is usually gone. In most
businesses we have worked with, the biggest gap was not the number of leads coming in. It was what happened
after they arrived. That is why we set up the follow up system at the same time as the ads, and not six months
later.
A structured strategy session, including a SWOT analysis, that ends with your positioning and your ideal customer written down. Ads pointed at a vague audience waste money faster than anything else in marketing, because you are paying by the click for every wrong person who arrives.
We work out what a customer is worth to you and what you can afford to pay for one. Every decision after this is measured against that figure.
Campaigns, ad copy, creatives, the landing page, and the tracking that connects an enquiry back to the ad that produced it. Tracking goes in before launch, never after.
The first few weeks are for learning which audiences and keywords bring real enquiries. Paid ads can show movement within 2 to 4 weeks.
Weekly changes. What brings enquiries gets more budget. What brings clicks and nothing else gets switched off.
Once a month, in plain language, starting with leads and cost per lead.
Monthly sales grew from about Rs. 2 lakh to over Rs. 20 lakh. The business sells through Zomato, Swiggy and its own website, with Meta ads running across several cities. The ads carried the demand and the ordering channels closed it.
The clinic moved from 3 procedures a month to more than 12 a month, and now holds over 60 Google reviews at a 4.9 rating.
Dilip started his interior decoration business but was overwhelmed. He did not have much budget for a proper digital marketing campaign and whatever social media activity he did, did not fetch many results. He was looking for an easy, affordable way to look legitimate, share his contact information digitally and generate some business online.
Dilip signed up for the Digital Accelerator, which instantly provided:
“I run my business completely solo, so every minute matters…
The Digital Accelerator made me instantly credible and brought me enquiries.
Now that I have traction, I know I can scale anytime!”
— Dilip Walwekar, Founder, DW Interior Decorators
Priya was too busy serving clients to focus on marketing. Her social media was inconsistent, word-of-mouth was her only source of leads, and hiring someone in-house did not work due to lack of expertise.
“I needed someone to be my marketing brain…
Satej Infotech handled everything.
My inquiries increased dramatically in 3 months, and my brand finally looks professional and disciplined.”
— Priya Joshi, Founder, Growth Path Consulting
You pay the platforms directly and can check the spend yourself, any day.
Without that number, nobody can say whether a campaign is doing well.
Clicks and impressions are in there. They are not the headline.
Leads that nobody answers are the most expensive thing in marketing, because you paid for them twice over.
