The Problem

Your best customer channel is running on one person's phone

Your customers already prefer WhatsApp over email and over calling. So do you, honestly. Orders come in there, questions come in there, complaints come in there.

The problem is what happens next. It is all sitting in one phone, usually the owner's or one employee's. If that person is busy, on leave, or the phone is lost, every conversation with every customer goes with it. Two staff cannot see the same chat at once. There is no record of who replied to what.

The free WhatsApp Business app was never built for a team, and it was never built for automatic order confirmations, appointment reminders, or a green verification tick next to your business name.

WhatsApp Business API

The Core Idea

There are three different things called "WhatsApp for business"
Satej Infotech sets up the official WhatsApp Business API for Indian businesses, including Meta verification, integration with BoostCRM or an existing CRM, and automated messages for orders, reminders and customer replies, billed separately from Meta's own per-message charges.

Ordinary WhatsApp is the personal app on your phone. Free, but one device, one person, no automation.

WhatsApp Business app is a free upgrade with a catalogue and quick replies, still tied to one phone.

WhatsApp Business API is the official, paid access that Meta provides to registered businesses. It lets multiple team members reply from shared access, lets a CRM send and receive messages automatically, allows a green verification tick for eligible businesses, and can send template messages such as order confirmations without a person typing them.

Most Indian SMEs are still on the first two. The API is what turns WhatsApp from a phone into infrastructure your business runs on.
Infrastructure, not a phone

What Is Actually Included

What we set up
  • Meta Business verification. Your business registered and verified with Meta, including the green tick application where your business qualifies for one.
  • Number migration. Your existing WhatsApp number moved to the API without losing your chat history where technically possible, or a new dedicated number set up.
  • CRM connection. Connected to BoostCRM, Satej Infotech's own WhatsApp based CRM, or to a CRM you already use, so conversations, orders and follow-ups are tracked rather than trapped in a phone.
  • Template messages. Order confirmations, appointment reminders, delivery updates and one-time passwords, written and submitted for Meta's approval.
  • Team inbox. Multiple staff can see and reply to the same conversations, with a record of who replied and when.
  • Automated first replies. A message sent automatically the moment someone contacts you outside working hours, so no enquiry sits unanswered overnight.
  • Broadcast campaigns. Offers and updates sent to a list of customers who have opted in, following Meta's rules on marketing messages.
How the billing actually works
There are two separate charges, and conflating them is where most confusion happens. Meta charges its own per-message fee, which depends on the type of message and changes from time to time; you pay Meta directly or through us as a pass-through, and we will never mark this up without telling you. Separately, Satej Infotech charges a one-time setup fee of Rs. 5,000 and a monthly rental of Rs. 1,500 for managing the account, the CRM connection and ongoing support.

Questions People Ask Us

WhatsApp Business API is the official, paid version of WhatsApp that Meta provides to verified businesses, allowing multiple team members to reply from shared access, automated messages such as order confirmations, and a green verification tick for eligible businesses. It is different from the free WhatsApp Business app, which is limited to one device and one person.

There are two separate charges. Meta charges its own per-message fee, which varies by message category and changes from time to time, so it should be confirmed at the time of setup rather than assumed from an old figure. Separately, Satej Infotech charges a one-time setup fee of Rs. 5,000 and a monthly rental of Rs. 1,500 for account management, CRM connection and support.

The WhatsApp Business app is a free upgrade to ordinary WhatsApp, tied to one phone and one person, with a catalogue and quick replies. The API is Meta's official paid access for businesses, allowing multiple staff to use shared access, connecting to a CRM, sending automated template messages, and qualifying for a green verification tick. The API is built for a team and for volume, not for a single person answering messages.

In most cases, yes, and your existing number can be migrated to the API. Whether your chat history is preserved during the move depends on your current setup, and this is checked before the migration begins. Some businesses choose to set up a new dedicated number instead, particularly if the existing number is a personal one.

The green tick is Meta's official business verification badge, shown next to a business name once Meta confirms the business is genuine and notable enough to qualify. Not every business that applies receives it, since Meta reviews each application against its own criteria, and there is no guaranteed timeline or outcome. Having the API set up correctly is a requirement to apply, not a guarantee of approval.

No. Replies sent within 24 hours of a customer messaging you first fall into the free service category. Charges apply mainly to messages your business sends first, such as marketing broadcasts, order updates or reminders, and the rate depends on which of those categories the message falls into.

In most cases, yes. We can connect the API to an existing CRM if it supports WhatsApp integration, or set you up with BoostCRM, our own WhatsApp based CRM, if you do not already have one. We will tell you honestly if your current system cannot support the connection.

Setup typically takes 1 to 2 weeks, most of which is Meta's own business verification review. Template messages need separate approval from Meta before they can be used, which usually takes a few days per template. The exact timeline depends on Meta's review queue, which is outside our control.
